The Duke and I

This story was created by Julia Quinn, author of the worldly popular Bridgerton Books and also they new netflix original series produced by Shondaland. She is a graduate of Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges, she briefly attended Yale School of medicine before dedicating herself to her full-time writing career. The book is a romance, drama. you can tell by reading and watching that is very well is both romantic and drama filled as the 1900`s when this book was set is all about when women of the ton where betrothed to men as that is how they were brought up by their mothers. They would have to "take a husband" to them be a wife and mother children and perhaps heirs.

This part of the series is about Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Hastings the duke of Hastings, I have yet to read the rest of the book but the Netflix season was very eye catching. Simons father treated him with no kindness, as for Simon`s childhood had been hard for him he never knew his mother she died in childbirth even when told it wasn`t a good idea by all doctors and other who care for the Duchess.
